The M21 Stereo DAC is the trifecta of digital to analogue conversion. Three independent and user-selectable digital-to-analogue signal paths are available: delta-sigma and R-2R ladder DAC for PCM conversion and true direct 1-bit DSD analogue converter. All current digital input types are supported, with direct output or hard-wire bypass of the analogue attenuator.
The M21’s advanced architecture allows users to select, evaluate, and enjoy three independent digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) paths. These include a 24-bit delta-sigma DAC, a 20-bit R-2R ladder DAC, and a true 1-bit DSD output for Direct Stream Digital content. The inclusion of Bricasti Design’s high-performance MDx processor ensures maximum fidelity and exceptional performance across all formats.

THE POWER OF THREE
Precise analogue gain control in the M21 enables the effective implementation of direct DSD functionality while supporting amplification. A hard-wire bypass analogue attenuator allows direct connection to an external preamp when set to 0 dB, providing additional integration options. This feature-rich design ensures the M21 can adapt to various system configurations with ease.

The Bricasti MDx digital processor represents a significant technological advancement, built on a proprietary platform that has undergone years of development. This processor transforms and refines our entire line of digital-to-analogue converters (D/A converters). It offers exceptional accuracy in timing and improves incoming master clocking, enhancing network performance for superior sound quality. Additionally, the MDx introduces support for DSD256 over USB. With the MDx, audio quality is elevated to a new level of precision and excellence.

The I2S input is now available as an option on all new Bricasti DACs and can be added as an upgrade for existing customers.

BEAUTY
In addition to the standard Classic (Black) and Argento (Silver) finishes, an optional authentic Platinum finish is available for the M21. This finish involves anodizing the base aluminium metal, starting with a layer of copper, followed by nickel, and finally applying a 40-micron coating of pure Platinum in-house. The stunning mirror finish enhances the aesthetics and increases the chassis's mass with precious metals. This added weight improves performance, offering better tonality and resolution due to its effective RF rejection.
