The M19 Reference SACD/CD Transport offers a refreshingly simple operating experience, focusing solely on delivering exceptional performance. Its design emphasises simplicity, eliminating the need for additional features such as upsampling, DACs, digital inputs, or USB support. These additional elements can complicate the user experience when all you want to do is insert a disc and play it, as well as complicate the digital design itself. Every aspect of the M19’s design has been carefully considered to preserve the integrity of the original mastered media, ensuring that no additional processing is applied. This commitment guarantees clear and precise audio rendering of the highest quality.
The design of the M19 power supply incorporates two separate, oversized linear power supplies that feature medical-grade toroidal transformers. One power supply is dedicated to the drive's mechanical components, including the motor drive and loader, while the other powers the digital components and the audio path. This separation ensures that both sections operate independently, providing stable and high-current power to the motor and mechanical systems. As a result, we achieve accurate and consistent motor speeds, eliminating potential cross-feed interference between the drive and the audio path electronics, which could introduce jitter or power supply ripple.

The M19 is designed as a single, complete assembly housed in a milled aluminium chassis. This design places the power supply close to the drive and digital output sections, significantly reducing RF interference risk. More importantly, it ensures exceptional isolated current delivery from the power supply to the drive motor. By integrating the components, unnecessary cables and connectors are eliminated. It's important to note that this system operates on low current and low voltage DC power, which optimizes current delivery throughout the device. Therefore, moving the power supplies further away from the drive would not provide any practical advantage.

The M19 Reference SACD/CD Transport features our proprietary I2S digital output, designed exclusively for Bricasti DACs. This direct interface ensures seamless integration, elevating performance with improved clarity, enhanced layering, and a broader sound spectrum. The I2S input is now available as an option on all new Bricasti DACs and can be added as an upgrade for existing customers.
The M19’s design embraces simplicity, eliminating upsampling, digital inputs, and USB support while featuring I2S compatibility. Just insert a disc and enjoy effortless playback.
