At its heart lies a high-torque 24V DC motor meticulously engineered exclusively for Clearaudio. The motor is decoupled from the chassis to minimise vibrations and employs Optical Speed Control (OSC) technology, featuring an infrared sensor that monitors and ensures perfect speed stability in real-time. Users can easily select between three rotational speeds (33 ⅓, 45, and 78 rpm), accommodating a diverse range of vinyl formats.
The chassis is a marvel of resonance optimisation, constructed as a sandwich of panzerholz (bulletproof wood) and aluminium, CNC-machined to exacting standards. This unique design neutralises unwanted vibrations, keeping resonances out of the audible range. The finely adjustable turntable feet allow for precise levelling, ensuring consistent performance. For added versatility, the Innovation supports the installation of a second tonearm, broadening its appeal to collectors and audiophiles with diverse playback needs.
The 70mm-thick platter, crafted from high-density acrylic and dynamically balanced, rotates atop a stainless steel subplatter with exceptional precision. The platter is supported by Clearaudio’s patented Ceramic Magnetic Bearing (CMB), which virtually eliminates friction and mechanical noise, ensuring unparalleled sonic purity.
At the core of the Innovation is a precision-engineered high-torque 24V DC motor, uniquely designed for Clearaudio.
