The Shunyata Gamma XC mains cable is engineered for high-current applications, delivering unrestricted power to amplifiers and demanding components. Featuring ultra-pure Ohno copper conductors and precision-matched impedance (PMZ) construction, it ensures exceptional signal transfer and dynamic, uncompromised sound. With XC (eXtra Current) Technology, it provides continuous current delivery for optimal performance. Conditioned with KPIP v2™ and equipped with gold-plated solid brass connectors, the Gamma XC offers durability and superior audio fidelity.
Performance Highlights
The Gamma NR cables are engineered to deliver a natural and dynamic sound with impeccable timing accuracy and frequency extension. Unlike many copper cables that trade agility for warmth, the Gamma NR achieves a perfect balance—offering rich tonal qualities while maintaining transient precision and low-frequency authority.
Their ability to reduce noise and distortion results in an immersive listening experience where subtle details and textures emerge effortlessly, bringing music to life with coherence and realism. Gamma NR cables excel in creating a natural presentation, free of brightness or aggression, allowing the purity of the music to shine without distraction.
The Gamma Series Legacy
Shunyata’s Gamma Series is built on over 25 years of documented science and innovation, challenging traditional expectations of price and performance. By leveraging advancements in conductor technology and manufacturing precision, the Gamma Series delivers a performance level that rivals cables two to three times their cost.
Slow Manufacturing Process: Conductors and shields are extruded and braided at one-quarter speed to ensure exacting tolerances and superior quality.
Custom Shielding and Dielectrics: Optimised shielding and fluorocarbon dielectrics ensure noise-free operation and signal integrity.
Engineered for Value: The Gamma Series proves that audiophile performance can be achieved without compromising affordability.
Purity in Tone, Dynamics by Nature
Coherence is the hallmark of the Gamma NR’s performance. These cables deliver clarity and balance, seamlessly integrating into any high-end system. With impressive timing accuracy, dynamic punch, and frequency extension, the Gamma NR provides a sound that is natural, agile, and immersive.
Whether reproducing subtle nuances or delivering the weight and depth of low-frequency content, Gamma NR cables reveal the full potential of your audio system. Designed to enhance musical expression and emotional connection, the Gamma NR invites listeners to let the music flow.
The Shunyata Research Gamma NR is more than just a cable—it’s a transformative upgrade that redefines what’s possible at its price point, making it a must-have for any serious audio enthusiast.

Shunyata Research’s exclusive VTX™ conductors are precision-engineered with a hollow, tube-like structure. This innovative design eliminates the core, minimising skin effects and reducing random eddy currents for superior performance. Crafted from OFE Alloy-101, these conductors ensure exceptional conductivity and signal integrity.
ArNi® is a proprietary wire developed by Shunyata Research, designed to deliver unparalleled performance for audio applications. It begins with the purest copper available—OFE C10100 or Ohno (single crystal)—and is formed into virtual hollow tubes to eliminate skin effects and eddy current distortions. Premium fluorocarbon insulation further enhances performance by minimising dielectric absorption and re-radiation, significantly improving resolution and clarity. To maximise its sonic capabilities, the wire undergoes Shunyata’s proprietary KPIP™ V2 process.
Shunyata Research uses only the highest-purity copper for its wire products. OFE Alloy 101 (C10100) is the pinnacle of copper quality, boasting a minimum purity of 99.99% and a conductivity rating of 101% IACS. OFE stands for oxygen-free electrolytic, a standard that surpasses the older term OFHC (oxygen-free high conductivity). C10100 is the only copper grade accompanied by a written purity certification verified by ASTM F68 standards.
Fluorocarbon dielectrics are usually only found in wire used in the aerospace industry, satellites and only the most expensive audiophile cabling. It has special electrical characteristics; very low dielectric absorption, high dielectric strength and exceptional heat resistance. When used in audio and power cables is reduces the perception of dynamic compression and it improves sonic low-level resolution and clarity.
KPIP™ v2 (Kinetic Phase Inversion Process) is a technology developed by Caelin Gabriel after extensive research into phenomena like burn-in, wire directionality, and the effects of cryogenic treatment. Gabriel identified a core principle that burn-in and cryogenics only partially addressed. This discovery led to the creation of a processing technique and machine that virtually eliminates the need for both burn-in and cryogenic treatment.
