MEZE LIRIC II

LIRIC II: £1899

THE ART OF EVOLUTION

Change remains constant as time passes, offering the opportunity for growth and refinement. This philosophy is embodied in the Meze LIRIC II headphones, an evolution of their original closed-back isodynamic design. Through patience and meticulous craftsmanship, Meze has introduced enhancements that elevate this model's aesthetic and acoustic performance.

Meze's commitment to sustainability and longevity is evident in the Liric II's fully serviceable design. Every component, from ear cups to cables, can be replaced individually, extending the lifespan of the product far beyond typical usage limits.

Whether for immersive home listening or portable use, the Liric II stands as a testament to Meze Audio’s dedication to delivering emotion-driven sound and timeless craftsmanship. These headphones are not just an auditory experience but a bridge to deeper connections with music, offering a blend of form, function, and art that transcends fleeting trends.

The Liric II is precision-crafted, blending functionality with artistry. The ear cups are adorned with Macassar ebony wood, providing a sense of natural warmth and timeless elegance. This luxurious touch is paired with re-engineered ear pads that feature a detachable magnetic design for effortless maintenance. The headphones’ lightweight construction and ergonomic design ensure superior comfort during extended listening sessions.

The heart of the Liric 2 is the MZ4 Isodynamic Hybrid Array driver, a collaborative innovation with Rinaro. This driver combines switchback and spiral-shaped voice coils within a single diaphragm, enabling highly targeted sound delivery that matches the ear's natural anatomy. The result is a finely tuned acoustic experience with exceptional imaging, dynamic range, and frequency response.

QWRM

A standout feature of the Liric 2 is its Quarter Wavelength Resonator Mask (QWRM), a precision-engineered metallic component that strategically attenuates high-frequency peaks above 7kHz. This innovation ensures a smooth, fatigue-free listening experience by reducing resonances and distortion. Additionally, the copper-zinc alloy stabiliser, integrated around the membrane, absorbs vibrations, further minimising distortion for a purer sound.

The sound signature of the Liric 2 strikes a balance between warmth and neutrality, refined with feedback from the audiophile community. The dynamic performance is marked by clarity in the high frequencies, robust bass, and a natural tonal depth, making these headphones ideal for diverse musical genres.

MZ4 DRIVER

The MZ4 driver features an innovative technology called the Phase-X™ system, developed by Rinaro, which aims to reduce phase distortion commonly associated with closed-back headphone designs. This patent-pending technology enhances the immersive quality of spatial sound imaging. The Phase-X™ system boosts the accuracy of spatial imaging, making it comparable to that of open-back headphones, particularly during binaural recordings.

It seems that all the feedback received for the OG Liric was taken to heart, resulting in a dramatic improvement in sound staging capabilities, imaging, and most importantly, frequency response.
