The Shunyata T30 Umbilical Cable is part of Shunyata's high-performance power cable lineup, designed to connect the Typhon T2 or T30 power conditioners to other Shunyata components, enhancing overall system performance. This specialized umbilical cable features a 6-gauge VTX-Ag conductor consisting of a pure copper outer core and a pure silver inner core, optimising current delivery and improving dynamic range.
The T30 umbilical comes standard with a C19 IEC connector and measures 0.5m long, though longer cables can be custom-ordered. Additionally, it is equipped with Shunyata’s proprietary military-grade Amphenol twist-lock connector, ensuring a secure and reliable connection that maximises current transfer.

Two distinct models to choose from
The T30 umbilical cable also links Shunyata's power conditioners but features 8-gauge VTX-Ag conductors, which include a pure silver core that enhances macro-dynamics and overall audio fidelity. Its proprietary Amphenol connection guarantees a secure and durable link between components, boosting system integrity. While priced affordably compared to the TT2, the T30 maintains exceptional performance, particularly suited for systems with high current demands.
The TT2 umbilical cable is specifically designed to connect Shunyata’s Typhon T2 power conditioner to other power distributors in an audio system, maximising overall system performance. This high-current cable uses 8-gauge VTX™ conductors, which deliver enhanced dynamic range, current transfer, and improved sound coherence. It is fitted with Shunyata’s military-grade Amphenol twist-lock connector, ensuring reliable, low-resistance connections for seamless power delivery.
CopperCONN: Many audiophile-grade connectors are made from brass or bronze. While some may get a plating of silver, gold or rhodium, most of the current is carried by the contact’s base metal. CopperCONN® connectors contain pure copper contacts with much higher conductivity than brass. The difference in performance is clearly audible.
VTX-Ag: Shunyata’s VTX-Ag cables are uniquely constructed with an inner and a centre conductor made of pure silver and an outer concentric ring conductor made of pure copper. It’s made using the finest fluorocarbon insulation to minimize dielectric absorption and re-radiation, which improves resolution and clarity. VTX-Ag delivers the speed and clarity of silver and the midrange warmth and three-dimensional power in the lower octaves of copper without imparting any of the negatives associated with either metal. – The best qualities of silver and copper combined.
ArNi® is a type of wire created by Shunyata Research designed to be the finest quality wire available for audio purposes. It begins with the highest purity of copper available – OFE C10100 or Ohno (single crystal). Then, it is formed in virtual hollow tubes, eliminating skin effects and eddy current distortions. Premium fluorocarbon insulation minimizes dielectric absorption and re-radiation, significantly improving resolution and clarity. In addition, the wire undergoes our proprietary KPIP™ process.
Fluorocarbon dielectrics are usually only found in wire used in the aerospace industry, satellites and only the most expensive audiophile cabling. It has special electrical characteristics; very low dielectric absorption, high dielectric strength and exceptional heat resistance. When used in audio and power cables is reduces the perception of dynamic compression and it improves sonic low-level resolution and clarity.
